Well, it was our annual trip to the KFOG Kaboom this last Saturday night. Joyce and Sean were trying to remember how many of these we've been to on a boat, and we think this was our 7th year. But we know for sure that this was Gavin's second. (By the way, I guess we didn't take many pictures last year, but check out how small he was at 2005's kaboom
here about half way down the page)

So here's the boy motoring over in the afternoon with his parents and the rest of the gang.

And here is the benefit of getting there early - - the best real estate on the water with no boats between us and the barges that'll show up at dusk.

And it's not like we missed any of the party, we just brought the party with us.

We take our canopies on deck very seriously...
We saw friends we know on other boats,
and made new friends too.

Gavin helped with some of the steering.

Our fearless skipper! ("Fearless" because she agreed to host all of us...)

It was a beautiful night, and you know the show is about to start when the "Spirit of San Francisco" paddle boat shows up.

Gavin had the best seat in the house!

KABOOM!

And finally, we are safe and sound back at the dock and driving home. It was a very late night for the little man (he didn't get to bed till about midnight), but he and his parents got to sleep in late on Mother's Day Sunday (which is
almost as good as the show the night before)
It was another stellar evening on the water and a huge thanks to all our friends who made it happen. We will be back to do it again next year, no matter where we're living...
